A client has asked me the following question:

Is there a type of massage that is particularly good for a compromised immune system and adrenal fatigue?

I've asked for clarification as to the specifics of the condition she is referring to, but in the mean time I'd like to ask for your opinions.

It sounds like a self-diagnosis.

Client may be self-medicating/treating with supplements.

I would lean towards Cranio-Sacral or intuitive energy work.

Ok, I just found out that she is seeing a Holistic Doctor who as diagnoised her with dormant Epstein Barr, adrenal fatigue and various vitamin deficencies. He is treating her with IV vitamin/amino acid solution. She would like to add massage. I have seen her in the past but primarily for therapeutic massage for neck/shoulder pain.

I'm thinking that out of the modalities I offer that Thai massage might be the best for her because of the work on the Sen lines.

Any other suggestions?

Thai massage would be great!
Stimulating the energy lines plus getting her body moving with the stretching would be very supportive of her condition.

What I try to stress with clients is that bodywork puts them back in touch with their body so they can "listen" to it better.
Many stop listening...especially people with chronic conditions.

fwiw - something I learned recently which may or may not be significant to your client...
is that exercise is AS or MORE beneficial to people with mild depression than any anti-depressant on the market.
I mention it only because a lot of my clients dealing with fatigue are often diagnosed as depressed, are on or have been on anti-depressants. And jeez - chronic pain and fatigue ARE depressing!
