who is usually introduced first? The older person? The most important person?
I'll explain:
1-- Let's say you are with your teenage child at a shopping centre. You bump into a friend who has never met your child. Do you say "name of child" I'd like you to meet my friend? Or "friend" , I'd like for you to meet my child?
2-- If you are at a public place with your better half: do you say, "friend", I'd like for you to meet my husband, or vis-versa?
3-- What if you are with your better half, and meet your friend who is also with her better half, but neither of the husbands nor the wives have met the friend's husband? Who should introduce them to each other?
4-- Other situation: what if you are with a boyfriend, husband, wife, (someone equal to you), and you want them to meet your boss. Do you say "boss" I'd like for you to meet my wife/husband, or the other way around?
*** How would someone say "I would like to present to you my friend" in spanish? "me gustaria te presento mi amigo/a"?
thanks!!
