I have been thinking about this for a bit. Offering In office ergonomic consultations.
I have checked out a few of my clients work spaces and have made suggestions to them about making a few free adjustments that have ended up helping them feel some relief from office related strains.
I can often tell while doing a massage what needs changes in a clients office space and I make suggestions that always seem to help.
Sometimes I can just look at the space and know what needs changed.
Have you heard of anyone adding this into the services they offer?
I would expect to have to become an "expert" on the subject and know of places to purchase replacement items if need be. Monitor height adjusters, office chairs, etc.
Don't know it is is "going out of scope of practice", but it seems interesting.
A client of mine had hired a PT that did this to come and critique her office space. He told her that I hit every suggestion on - I had only gone off what her body had told me.
I still have to do a little research on the subject, but thought I would post here to see if anyone knew of anything.
