In Sims 3, don't you think they should introduce negative things like smoking?

If they added smoking, it could be a good thing. I've seen several people asking the same thing. Smoking could give your sim a positive moodlet, but brings down their hygiene and adds a negative moodlet like a craving in the game. Why don't the creators think about it? I mean, you can get fat from eating too much, so why not get lung disease from smoking too much. Moral lessons anybody?!

They could also introduce alcohol, that would be fun trying to control a drunk sim. There are loads of things that they could include, but it would probably "be a bad influence" on the younger children who play on it.

The main reason is probably because the game designers don't want to be seen to support things like smoking - they would suffer negetitive press, and for little gameplay benefit.

Although I agree, it would make the game more interesting.
