I use my SSN for my taxes and I am a Sole Proprietor.I have a private practice of my own that I am building while working as an IC elsewhere.I don't have any knowledge of a business credit, so I can't help you there.  Can you elaborate more on this credit?

You can get credit cards for your business in your business name. You can get line of credit for supplies, like a computer.

 Silly me!  Guess I was looking into the question to much.I have a checking account that is seperate for the business, but it is just in my name.  No DBA.I do need to get a seperate credit card though.

Masthera,  I makes it easier if you get audited.  It is cleaner for the IRS.Zen,  EIN, Corp., Yes, Banking, Debit and Credit in Corp name.
