Indian Face Massage

Hi all,
I have recently bought narenda mehta's Indian Face massage book and in time
would like to offer this as a seperate treatment.
Can i ask if anybody thinks i should gain a separate certificate for face massage or would it be ok to include it under my IHM Certificate, after all my usual treatment incudes some facial work. Please let me know your thoughts, also has anybody done an Indian Face Massage course? I know of the one's in London but i'm in Cornwall.

The Indian Face Massage book is actually about a completly different treatment to IHM. Kundan Mehta, Narendra's wife teaches the course as 'Facial Rejuvenation' - soon to be changed to 'Facelift Massage'.

You should not include it in you IHM insurance as it is *very* different indeed, combining reiki, polarity therapy, pressure points and some very specialised massage techniques.

If you can come to London - the course is fantastic. I recommend it highly.

Hopefully Tigerbee will see this too, because I know she's done Kundan Mehta's course and will probably have some insights to share. It is a totally separate therapy to IHM. I believe that people trained by Kundan now offer this training, so you might find someone near you who does it. When I went to do IHM with the Mehtas there was one lady who had flown over from Germany to do the course, and they gave her the name of a lady who does B&B nearby.

Sue Bailey who runs Gateway Workshops in London (Mystic 2003 is her name on HP) runs 1 day courses in Indian Face Massage. I am applying to do one in the future. I was hoping to go on one in February but as I have to have an op on my thumb sometime in mid February I will now have to wait until end March at the earliest. I'm checking with FHT to see if I can add it to my insurance as I think it will fit nicely into IHM and Beauty treatments that I already do.

FHT have now informed me that if you hold a recognised qualification in IHM, (ie VTCT) you can add Indian Face Massage to your insurance at no extra cost. So if you want to do this course and you are already FHT insured then it could be worth your while!

yep I am here..

the facial massage, facial rejuvination course that the mehta's run is absolutely astonishing. I have done the course and the results are impressive (I do have a thread on it somewhere...)the course is 3 days, provides you with everything you need, you then go away and do case studies and some written work, come back do your exam and off ya go....if you decided you wanted to teach their method and be accredited by them you have to practice it for a year and then go back for assessment etc.....

I know I will definitely do this facial rejuvination course at some point I'm sure, because its just looks wonderful and i think it will become hugely popular, however its just way too expensive for me at the moment.

I'm hopefully, be getting my certificate from VTCT on the IHM which I did in Dec, & is taking forever to come, but I'm really intersted to do the facial rejuvination course if somebody be kind enough to give me the details of where I might be able, to have this course done I'll be ever so greateful.

Hi, I too am interested in attending a indian face massage course, but after surfing the net it appears you can either attend a one day course for £150 or a 4 day course for £450. Can anyone offer me any guidence?

I can thoroughly recommend the 1 day course I did with Gateway Workshops. It does help to have knowledge of IHM and FHT will insure you for IFM if you have a recognised qualification in IHM. I have used a lot of the routine I learned at IFM in my holistic facials as thereis a lot of stimulation of pressure points as well plenty of newmassage techniques. It certainly appears to give the face a rejuvenation.

As for the Indian Face Massage book by Narenda Mehta...is that any reflection of what people are taught on Kundan's course...Tigerbee? Just wondered because it is quite a lot of money to go out and spend, and it would be good to get a feel of the techniques covered.
