Hi there
Next week I am doing a demo/talk for a WRI group.
Has anyone done anything like this, and if so, how did you structure it?
I am planning to actually combine chair massage with IHM (partly because I broke my wrist a few months back, and although it is very good, I can' do any heavy pressure, so will combine No Hands Chair with head and face massage).
My current plan is as follows:
Talk a bit about me, my training and the benefits of chair/IHM.
Ask for people that are interested in receiving the treatment, and do a short session on all that are (it isn't a big group). I was thinking of asking them what aspect of the massage they want to receive - eg back, shoulder/neck, head or face, and hopefully! there will be a good range wanted.
During the treatments I will need to talk a bit as well (which I will find quite difficult as I focus on what I am doing, and don't talk a lot during treatments) - say what I am doing, what the benefit of the moves are etc. Maybe say a little about the kind of comments I get from clients.
Then open up the floor for questions.
I have to take a raffle prize, so was planning to take a gift certificate for a free treatment.
Does that sound ok? Any other talking points you can think of? Anything that could be done differently/better?
Thanks in advance!
