Does anyone know if i am allowed to charge as a trainee IHM?
I have covered a short IHM course for the weekend with Nixie James Scott a few months ago and have been practicing ever since.
I am studying A&P. Will I be fully qualified after this? I'm not entirely sure.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE - WEEKEND WORKSHOP with NIXIE JAMES-SCOTT
Chandos Clinic, 21, Chandos Road, Redland, Bristol
About the course
This weekend workshop is designed to give the participant an overview of the history, both ancient and recent of Indian Head Massage or Champissage; which is a healing art that has been perfected over centuries in India and has recently undergone an 'update' and been systemised in this country.
We will go into the way the therapy works using the energy centres or chakras within the body systems and the balancing effect that Indian Head Massage can have on the body, mind and spirit.
We will learn a full half -hour routine over the course of the weekend, building up in 'bite-sized' chunks! Plan to have a short practice on a friend on the Saturday evening to consolidate the first day's learning. This also enables you to identify any areas you're not too sure about, that we can revisit on the second day.
At the conclusion of the weekend, for all those who have successfully grasped the content and practice, there will be a certificate. This is not a course that solely qualifies you to become a professional practitioner, however existing bodyworkers may incorporate it within their treatments, this course is recognised by many insurers including IPTI and FHT.
A bit about me, Nixie James-Scott - I am a mature, professional Natural Therapist who has been practising clinically for the last 8 years, continually updating and adding to my skills as circumstances allowed.
Prior to changing direction towards Natural Therapies I had been self -employed most of my life working in Knitwear and Interior design. I am also a qualified further education tutor and a mother of two teenage boys.
Enough about me - I look forward to you joining us for the weekend; early booking is advised as places go very quickly. If you are interested but can't make it this time, there will be more courses early next year. See dates below !
Any further questions you may want answered or if you want to try a treatment first then give me a ring on
