Hi,

I'm doing an IHM course (1st and 2nd July) but I'm feeling a bit unconfident as I've never done anything like this before and I'm not very good at remembering patterns and sequences. Will I be able to complete this? How difficult is it...any tips?

Hi Azalia

When I was at college, my tutor said always do the treamtment how u fel comfortable - there is no right or wrong sequence to use.

You'll find you're working upwards - basically starting on the back arms and shoulders and then working on the back of the head, then the top and sides and finally the face.

It is a very simple treatment and not that many moves to remember honestly.

Hi, you joined up, thats so posotive on its own. You'll do brill i'm sure, do you have a book on IHM, it might help to look through,have aread so you have an idea what to excpect.

My first day (Thurs 1st) started off fine, but my confidence really went down when I couldn't master the butterfly technique. I was feeling reallly emotional that day anyway which didn't help, and I was nearly in tears by the end

Fortunatley the second day was excellent, and I was feeling much better...I mastered all 53 techniques!!! My tutor said I had very good pressure too, so I was very pleased. I really got on well with everyone else in the class and was sad to go- but eager to start practicing on the family!
