Insurance for doing home spa parties?
At the very least, you need to have insurance through ABMP or AMTA for each of you.If one of you is organizing the events, it gets trickier. As the organizer, you (your llc, or whatever form your business takes) also become liable for the actions of those who work for you, even as sub contractors.Insurance for mobile service companies is not easy to come by, and is not cheap. You pretty much end up finding someone who will write the policy you get from AMTA/ABMP, but for your business covering EACH of the people who work for you. That comes about to about $200 per person. Most insurance agents have no idea how to handle mobile spas and won't take the time to find out. Also, don't forget that insurance is null and void if you are doing anything that is prohibited by law (many states prohibit facials and nail services at home)
