does anyone know which insurance is a good one and can i get insurance as a student to work in a salon whilst training

Hi Juliet,
Not being an expert here, but in the midst of training myself, surely the salon is issured and also your trainer? normally a person cannot teach or train unless they themselves are insured. I know I am covered until I stop attending the college, then I have to find my own, however the one the college uses offers us a good deal once we are trained.
Sorry thats a bit waffly but hopefully you get the jist.

When I was a student, we had to take out individual student insurance, which covered us whilst working on members of the public at college and practising on our case studies.

As for working in a salon, I wouldn't have thought your student insurance would cover you for this, unless it was under supervision.

I got my insurancethrough the FHT.
