Introducing 2 guinea pigs. Any personal advice?

I bought a guinea pig (female) a week ago and i want to buy another female for her to play with. I am not really buying another cage to do the quarantine 4 two weeks bc i am buying a gpig from the same petshop where she was and i planned to introduce them as soon as i bring it home on a new place they have never been to...I have no idea if they are going to get along but hopefully they do. What do you think I should and should not do and anytips i should be aware of?

First things first, you need to have a place to put guinea pig number two besides in with guinea number 1. Introducing them is a slow process and could get dangerous if you arent careful.Watch carefully when they are together until you know that they are buds. Also, if one starts chattering her teeth get her away from the other ASAP!

I just got a second piggie yesterday I brought her right home and put her in the cage with my first guinea (both females, 3 weeks is the new one, 6 months is the first) and instantly, the older one would stay right on top of her, at first i thought uh oh....not good, so i went to pick up the newer one and she dodged behind the first, and the first one wouldnt let me get either of them out ._. which is.....good.....but at a point it can be bad because its TOO excessive
but anyways,
id put them in the same cage and stay near for a while to watch and make sure everything goes ok. if everything is, then leave them be for a bit, but keep checking when you hear loud squeaks or weird noises. if they dont get along, then seperate them, let them out together for playtime and then seperate them, they will get used to each other enough to be able to share a cage in time hopefully
