Introducing an adult cat to a new kitten?

So I've recently moved into an apartment. My cat is a big aggressive and he doesn't usually like any other cats. BTW, he pretty much runs the neighborhood.The other neighborhood cats live in fear. Yeah, he's the bully of the neighborhood So, my friend's neighbor was recently gravid and gave birth. Those kittens are about 5 weeks old now, and I will be taking one when they are fully weaned. I want to allow her to get to a good size before bringing the other cat here. He lives at my mother's and is kept company and fed by my cousins. How long should I wait to move in the other cat? How should I introduce the two? Any tips?

If this matters: The older cat is now 8 years old,and is a neutered male. The kitten is,well a kitten, and a female. She has not yet been fixed, but we will as soon as we can(right age and she is moved in and checked out by a vet).

don't leave them alone until they r used 2 each other, the male could cause bad damage or even kill. keep the kitten in a cage away from the male and introduce them slowly

A good way to introduce cats is through scent first. Take a towel/blanket/rag and rub it on the new kitten to get it's scent on the blanket. Then bring it to your cat, and have him get used to her smell. After getting him used to her scent, bring it back to the female kitten, etc. so they get used to each others smell. That way, when they meet each other in person, they are partially used to each other (through scent).
