Introducing boyfriend to horse?

Well, I now have a wonderful boyfriend and I think it's time to introduce him to my horse. The thing is, I have never been in a relationship before, so I've never introduced my horse to a boyfriend before. I know that he's used to animals since he has 7 dogs and 6 alpacas, but I'm still a little nervous. So I'd like a little advice from those women who have introduced your boyfriends to your horses before. Is there something I shouldn't or should do? Or am I just putting too much emphasis on this? Or do you have any hilarious stories relating to such an event?

He should be fine, I mean, he's used to farm animals and shouldn't have a problem with horses. My boyfriend (anniversary was today ) when he first met Lady, he was like hugging me and Lady didn't like that and she did what she does and pinned back her ears and shoved him away. She's a boss mare and was like, "you ain't touching my mama." It was funny but she does this to every that gets near someone she likes. If her pasture pal's owner is out in the field petting her, Lady will herd her away. It's so funny! She doesn't bite or show aggressive behavior, she is just assertive. It didn't help because Jaime a city boy and hasn't been around horses before. He jumped when she snorted but I got him to pet her, talk to her, and such. He complimented on her (her head swelled a little bigger, my mare's did haha) and all was good. A year from then, h'll pet her from time to time and doesn't mind horses. Now getting him to ride is a different story. Now he grooms, tacks, leads the horses, and helps me with chores and has become a great stable hand XD

It's not really that big a deal. I took my BF to the barn to meet my horse. I opened the stall and said "go ahead and pet him!". Keep in mind he's never been near a horse before in his life. He patted his neck and it was all fine.

I think he nuzzled at his pockets looking for treats but the BF thought he was going after something else and scooted back. I was like "HAHA he wants treats, not your ween."

Don't make him ride your horse. If he's comfortable show him how to groom your horse.

Your buddy, and your boy are 2 different things and must be treated differently, as I'm sure you know. Ha ha!

But seriously, just let your horse know that no around him, because he have never met your boyfriend, that no one is going to hurt him. Make sure they are aware of each other. ha ha.

It's real simple, don't sweat it, because I'm not so sure your boyfriend can read emotions like your horse can.
