Introducing guinea pigs?

I have had a guinea pig for a couple of months, and she is around three-three and a half months old. I have heard that it is better to have two, and have been contemplating buying another one. However, I have heard that at around five months they can be a little mean and fight. She has a pretty good temperament, aside from being kind of nervous still and can nip sometimes. How should i introduce a new guinea pig to her? What age guinea pig should I get to introduce her? Thanks!

Listen to the first person who answered the question.
Never just put a new friend in the same cage as the other one
need a temporary cage, start the process slowly but start is as soon
as possible.

You should set up a temporary cage next to your guinea pig's. Then they will meet the first time through the bars. Then have them meet face to face on your bed or dresser so you can confine them to one area yet are able to pick up the old or new one if they fight. After doing this successfully a few times, put them in the same cage for a bit each day. Always seperate them at night though so that they don't fight when you are asleep. Once you are comfortable with them and are certain they won't fight, they can live together. Begin this process ASAP!

you should get the same age as your guinea pig and when you get them while there little they will get use to each other. they prob won't fight.
