My daughter is 7 and a half months old and has been on pureed food since about 5 months i increased that to 2 feeds of solids a day and 3 bottles of 240mls at 6 months. now she has her pureed fruit or custard for lunch and pureed potato, sweet potato, carrots or pumpkin for dinner and she loves it. But recently some friends have been telling me i should start introducing some textures. I gave her some heinz baby food for 7-10 month olds with a bit more texture and she just spat it out and wasn't interested. She normally has fresh veggies but the heinz food was still quite nice. It was mixed vegetables and pasta with a hint of tomato.
Should i just keep persisting or could she just not be ready? and should i still give her her normal pureed veggies after trying the more textured food. Some people say if i give in and give her what she likes she'll end up fussy. But i don't want to stave her.
She still doesn't have any teeth. But i've been told they still cope quite well without teeth.
