Introducing my daughter to a potty...?

my daughter is 16 months old and every night when she has a bath I take her clothes and nappy off and let her run around the bathroom naked for a bit to get a bit of fresh air and most nights she ends up doing a little wee whilst waiting for the bath to run. So I was thinking of buying her a potty and keeping it in the bathroom and asking her if she wants to sit on it, if she doesn't then that's fine i'm not going to make her sit there obviously. I'm not going to try potty training her as I think she's too young but I thought keeping one in the bathroom and showing her what's it's for might be a good idea? Especially for the times before her bath when she usually has a wee. What do you think? Is it good to get her used to the idea now or is it far too early to introduce her to one?
