Introducing puppies and kittens....?

We've adopted two kittens (3 months and 4 months) who have been living with us for the past two weeks. We will be taking home a great dane x great pryenese puppy next week. I know the whole introduce them slowly ordeal, but something else just occurred to me. Are there diseases or conditions that either animal could give to the other? Ie worms or something?

The kittens are both in perfect health, and are up to date on all of their shots and vaccines, but the puppy won't be as she will only be 8 weeks. She has her first shots and she's been dewormed. But aside from that, is there something we will have to watch out for?

If both have their shots updated and aren't sick, you shouldn't worry about introducing them. We owned many cats and dogs and had no problem introducing them, especially when they are young. The cats might not like the puppy since it will be hyper, but they will get used to each other with time. Just make sure the cats don't scratch the dog in the eyes, but besides that, if they are healthy, there should be no problem.
