I just picked up the new iphone 4 and love it compared to my blackberry pearl. I was look for some apps and found one called body level by structuralelements.com.
You take a pic of a person then you have lines that can be moved around to show there posture, you can save these pics for a before and after review etc cost $3.99?, i already used it on 2 pt's today and they where surprised how bad there postur was, wich led to them booking in 2 more apts each!.

Any other good apps that you have found? anything for tracking appointments etc?

I have a couple Real Bodywork aps, they don't sound as fun as the one mentioned ealrlier but they do show each muscle, uses, attachments, etc.

That app sounds interesting, but how do you make sure the phone is truly level when you take the picture? A minor deviation in phone position could result in a misleading image, so be cautious about relying upon it for client assessment. If the app had a "level" function that would confirm whether the phone was exactly level, or which would adjust the image to compensate when the phone wasn't exactly level, that would be a significant improvement.

Anyone who needs an app for charging credit cards will probably like "Square". I have a friend who is using it, and says it is fantastic. I got to be a guniea pig on it, and it worked simply.

According to her, the app is free, and the company charges you a perceneforum.xxxe of the fee.

Here's how it worked:

She put in the amount of the charge. She pushed a few buttons. She turned the phone side-ways. I signed a line with my finger (no untensil needed). She asked me for my e-mail. I gave it to her and she punched it in. The thing sent me a receipt in my e-mail acct.

Pretty easy.

The Square up website says they charge 3.5% & 15cent per transaction if you manually enter the CC number. It looks like on the site you can buy an attachment for your phone that scans the card and with that option they charge a flat 2.75% for all transactions.

I just downloaded Square onto my new iPhone 4 yesterday, and it really is VERY easy to use. Also, the little swiping attachment is free, and should arrive in the mail soon. This is a great addition to my business, since not everyone is wild about using PayPal, even when I have my computer up at the office, it's just more complex. Using the Square attachment, it's even a little less expensive than PayPal (Square is 2.75% with no per-transaction fee). I'm intending to do some outcall work again as well and this is a must-have for credit/debit clients. Liberating

I'm new here at Bodyworker--I'll post an intro of myself as soon as I get a chance.

I'm VERY interested in additional iApps that make everyone's business run smoother.

Does anyone have a good way of keeping SOAP notes, for example...? (I'm familiar with one called "Trainer Tool," but wondering if there's a better, easier app geared more towards therapists.

But heck--I'm interested in ANY apps...
