Is a physio the right person to go for a massage?

I've got a frozen shoulder and neck, its killing me (obviously not literally but is very painful and a bit awkward for driving) all the muscles are so tight and pop about when i move the joint. I need a proper massage from someone who knows what they are doing (not just a nice relaxing massage with aromatherapy etc) but I'm not sure how to find someone who does this. Do physio's do this? Its not the result of an injury just bad posture and a bad bed.

I'm not in UK and have no access to Oxfordshire, but it really sounds like you need a chiropractor to adjust your back and apply some ultrasound and give you some exercises to do.

Check the internet for specialists in your area if you don't have a telephone business directory in your area.

You also need to learn to sit, stand, and carry your body correctly to reduce the strain on those muscle groups.

A new bed would be in order, but if that is financially out of the question and the old bed is just too soggy for good posture, you might consider slipping a 4x8' sheet of 3/4 to 1" thick plywood in between mattress and box-springs to provide more firmness and support between shoulder and hip.
