Is is alright to introduce wild marine fishes in fish tanks?

Is it alright to introduce wild marine fishes in salt water aquarium?
(If i happend to caught small grouper or snapper or rabbitfish)
What other species can i introduce?
i wonder if i can keep scads, they usually live in schools..

Yes but be careful some wild fish (like the ones you mentioned above)or marine invertebrates like crawdads love caching and eating fish in your tank. so You can do it and they can make an extremely cool addition to your tank but be careful. also small fish turn into big fish they don't really stop with the tank. another problem is that wild fish are used to eating things that move and flakes don't move so be prepared to shell out for a constant supply of feeder fish.

The problems to work around are:

1 - In some states, it is illegal to do this. Check your state's Department of Wildlife (Department of Fish & the Game in some states) for their rules regarding this.

2 - "What you can introduce" depends on what you already have, what their care requirements are, how your tank is set up, and what size of a tank you have. On this point: research, research, research.

3 - Quarantining new arrivals to your household is already a good habit to have. For freshly-caught animals, there's no way around it. It's bringing all of its parasites, fungi, infections with it. You don't want to risk putting those things in with any other fish you own.

I would not recommend this at all. Firstly it is illegal in most countries and distrups wildl populations. Wild caught aquarium fish are caught from stable sources where the population will not be affected by specimens removed and also onl;y at certain times of the year when no juveniles rely
on parents.

Secondly, all wild caught fish are quarantined by distributers before being sold to wholesalers who may also quarantine and then stores who may also quarantine. the need for this is that wild caught fish are hardier than captive bred but carry a lot more diseases and will not be in a great state once introduced into captivity

Furthermore, you need to know exactly what fish you are catching and what requirements they have. You could catch a specimen that can grow bigger than your arm!

On top of this you will need to have a comprehensive setup of equipment to care for the fish including UV, sumps, tanks, powerheads and a hell of a lot more equipment.

Please just don`t do it. Many experts would be cautious let alone beginners!

it is okay to put them in fish tanks but you might want to find some coral in the sea and put them in the fresh water so the can get used to the surroundings better that way have fun.
