I have been going to a massage therapist for about 18 months. We usually talk some before and after the session and I have opened up to her about myself. Which I know in her profession is helpful to her. All that being said I would like to ask her out but not sure if it is appropriate in this situation. Maybe I could bring up the topic and see how she responds? I've been married and have kids who live with me full time. I'm looking for massage therapist views on this matter. Thank you

I would only ask her out if I was willing to find another therapist. She is a professional in a work situation and is probably just trying to be friendly. If she said no (wasn't interested) then you would be looking for another therapist quick because she likely wouldn't want to serve you or it would be awkward if she did. Would you be willing to take that risk?
 
If you ask her/him out, you will probably need to do this either way.If the answer is yes, then it is unethical to continue seeing you as a client:)
