I've been in this section for more than three years. In those three years I have yet to see a blowhard that is as socially and intellectually inept as Hays is. If someone, that permanently immature and ignorant, can get a degree from a Tennessee college, it's a sad indication of the failed attempt by the state, begun in the late 70s by Governor Lamar Alexander and the TN Department of Education, to radically improve the state's academic achievement levels.
From what I've seen on here, the usual Hays scenario is: trashes someone; gets trashed back; sends an email laced with threats, obscenities, immature attacks against the recipient's mother, and other middle school like, trite, worn out insults, all the while thinking he's extremely clever and physically imposing; calls the recipient a coward; THEN blocks the recipient, preventing a response, a true indication of someone fearful.
There is indication that Hays was pushed around a lot in middle school. He probably stayed under the social radar in high school, socializing with other dweebs like himself, didn't attend dances, play sports, date, participate in any extra curricular activities, and graduated with a B- GPA. In college, same social deficiencies were present except he tried to come out from under the social radar. However, his already imprinted awkward social skills made him extremely vulnerable to scorn from the campus movers and shakers, athletes, and fraternity/sorority members. This is typical of what occurs to people with low self esteem incurred from growing up in a rural northwest Tennessee county. As far as being a tough guy, based on what's been previously stated, he isn't. It's reasonable to believe that he was never even in a fight and is less than physically imposing.
People should understand that no matter how much scorn is cast upon Hays, he is used to it, it doesn't bother him, and he isn't going to go away. It's the only way he's learned to garner attention. As such, the more he gets dumped on and discredited, the more he feeds on it. Just ignoring him won't drive him away either. People are just going to have to live with him and get on with their lives.
