Is there a best way to introduce yourself to a girl that you don't know?

There's this girl at school that I've been dying to talk to for the longest time. Once we get talking, I'm fine, I can keep the convo going forever. It's just the first hello. I don't want to do the normal thing: "Hi, I'm Jake, you seem like you're worth getting to know so I thought I'd come and talk to you". It just seems too generic, I want to be original; also, that may be a little awkward.
