ITEC Comp Therapies - how much detail?!

We have to learn some detail on each comp. therapy for the ITEC Reflexology course, and each of us has to write a handout on 2 or 3 different ones to share with our class so we can learn the info for the exam. Only thing is I don't know how much detail we need to include, should it be just an A4 side of basic info, or do we need to learn more detail? I ask as Im drowning in paper here, with 14 sides just for one of the therpies I've been asked to research, is no way anyone will read let alone remember all of that if I do it for each of the 3 I've been given?!

I just love the way that some tutors are so airy-fairy about what they require!!!!

We were told to do a similar thing on our ITEC Holistic Massage course : all we had to do was make a precis of all the information (so I ended up with a nice-size paragraph - about 1/2 A4 page) on each one we had been given.

What a waste of your time.
You should be learning reflexology.

What you are being asked to do is in fact CPD.

One side A4 max should do for anyone for whatever.

I agree with a previous reply - 1/2 page typed on each would be great.
And why do you have to know them at all?
a) for referrals and
b) for knowing what else, effects etc your clients have received inthe past of even currently. EG How much instruction do they need for getting on the couch and are they comfortable with touch.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a term used for a framework of both learning and development activities, which are seen as contributing to an individuals continued effectiveness as a professional. CPD takes place in a number of contexts and through various activities. It does not simply involve taking a refresher course or two, but taking part in less structured, more job-specific activities such as on-the-job learning or mentoring. Continuing Professional Development is primarily a personal matter and should be owned and managed by the individual.

Knowing details of each of the 20 or so she has given us is apprently part of the syllabus for ITEC exam, so have to know it prior to then!
Have done enough Im sure as is abour 2 pages for each of the ones I have to present, so must have covered all thats needed! Ta all
