So, finally that's all sorted now.
I have been for an interview and offered a place on an ITEC Holistic Massage course today, which starts in September at the East Berkshire College, Langley Village near Slough. It's a bit of a trek but needs must when these type of courses are not available at the local colleges.
The course instructor was at great pains to explain it is a very intensive an academical course, 2 hours of massage training and 2 hours of anatomy and physiology, plus 5-7 hours of personal study and 2 units in Business and Work, followed by the exams next year.
I did explain that I have recently completed an HPD that was extremely hard work, especially the academic side with lots of reading and then over 25 papers to write, plus a case study incorporating three methods of clinical hypnotherapy procedures.
Remember just because you are not straight out of college does not mean you can't return to learning. If that is what you want to do and you are motivated you can do it. The colleges will help out by finding the best way for you to learn after you complete their diagnostic tests. And they are always happy to help if you encounter problems during the course. The instructor is there to teach and if you need extra help then extra classes can also be arranged. All you have to do is ask!
So the ITEC Massage and A&P Course. Well massage is an area I have been working towards for some time now and finally it is going to happen. This means that my integrated therapy business will truly be holistic, treating the emotions, the mind, the physical body and the spiritual bodies.
Next week I am back at a corporate centre giving Usui Reiki treatments to staff, which is an ongoing monthly booking.
Business at the practice suite carries on regardless, both hypnotherapy and reiki sessions.
Next month we resume the monthly Self Development Group which after an email campaign has created lots of local interest. So much so that I am probably going to arrange an evening group and a day time group. I have even looked into hiring a local hall if the need grows. It really has surprised me that there is such a huge demand for this type of group. We will be using guided visualisation and meditations, discussing our progression in our particular fields of interest and related articles, and then offering healing through a healing circle. There will also be opportunities to explore other elements such as dowsing, tarot, psychic abilities, etc.
I feel that it is going to be alot of fun as well as having serious times aswell.
So that's all for now, need to catch up on some business paper work and write some individual client scripts,
so...
in love and light,
joy and happiness,
with many blessings from
June Elaine
