ITEC Reflexology Exams Yesterday

Hi everyone
I took my ITEC Reflexology exams yesterday and unlike any of the papers I've seen before there were quite a few hand questions (about 6 or 7).

I can't remember the exact questions but there were some odd ones like

What is the reflex on the hand that is in zone 4 above the fallopian tube: (looking it up it was the sacro-iliac)

What condition would require doctors consent, osteoporosis or varicose veins (I'm fairly sure its veins but osteoporosis could be a problem if the feet are affected)

which people used foot massage as a method of maintaining mental and physical balance (american indians, but who really cares?)

There were no questions on bones, muscles, veins etc.

An odd question on what therapy you would recomend for someone who had developed and allergy to a pet (homeopathy)

What reflex croses the waist line on the right foot only, in zone 1 (the only two possibles were duodenum and pancreas - the other 2 options were stupid).

At the practical exam my entire class were all asked to show different reflexes on the hand rather than on the clients feet.

Maybe it was just our school but we had done very little on the hands and in addition we had used the Renee Tanner foot maps for our practical and the Tucker maps for the theory - I found it difficult to remember the differences when it came to the actual theory exam.

I took my exams in April and it sounds like the questions you had were very similar to what i had.

I had the american indian one and which year doreen bayley brought reflexology to the UK. What this has to do with actually practising reflexology...? no idea. It useful information, but we had little which related back to any A + P.

The exam actually worried me as a lot of questions were misleading. I had to read them over and over, some were worded just to trick you.

Its a shame that they word them so badly, i felt like i was being tested on my reading skills and not about what i have learnt with reflexology.

But i passed which is the main thing.

I am sure you will have done great or even better than you thought!

I am about to start holistic massage next week, there is no stopping me now!
