I've got two rabbits (m/f) and I want to introduce a third?

I've had the male rabbit for four years and the female rabbit for two. They took a month to bond and the female rabbit is dominant (she's bigger too). They're both neutured but they have active sex lives (lol). If I were to get a third rabbit, what sex should it be?

PS. Would you reccommend this? I'm not desperate for another rabbit but it would be nice

Unless you're going to put the 3rd in a separate cage I'd advise against it. When I was a kid I made the mistake of adopting 3 (2 m/ 1 f) and the males would fight over the female, even when they weren't in the same cage! they'd charge at the wire in attempts to fight the other. The female almost always ended up getting hurt when all 3 were allowed out together in attempts to bond the 2 boys. all 3 were nurtured, and in the end I had to give away one of the boys. I'd advise against it strongly

You need to stick with just the two you have. Trying to introduce a third will only case more problems. Have two of the same sex even if neutered will mean the two of the same sex will fight.

I would not get another bunny. Even though if might be good for the bunny you adopt, but you don't want too many cause then you might favor one of the other and they all won't get love. But if you did I would get a girl, boys tend to fight a lot.

Rabbits do fine in groups. They may fight at first but the fight stage usually doesn't last. I think you should get another male. I am reading a book on my Kindle right now that says females are the dominant sex usually in domesticated house rabbits so another neutered male would be better than another female. If you get a rabbit from a breeder or rescue they may be able to tell you which bunny is submissive but a pet store more than likely not able to tell you that because their animals come and go so fast.
