Hello all
Well i am currently doing an intensive reflexology course and IHM with ITEC.
Just completed my first weekend of reflexology today. I supposed i feel panic and worry. Mainly due to the fact i have to get 40 case studies in 6 weeks, plus the 9 for the IHM. (i also work Fulltime!)
This weekend i have learnt how to carry out a therapy session and contraindications.
To be honest i did not feel very confident. I couldn't feel much whilst doing the therapy e.g no grittiness etc.
Is it normal to feellike thiswhen you fist start?
I also have no chair or couch to work on, so i dont know what i can use for my model clients. I expect i will be going to their houses to do the sessions.
I think i was putting my expectations too high, so maybe thats why i feel a bit deflated.
Is anyone else starting a therapy?
i am a very newbie to all this so i am a little unsure as to what i should be looking for.
On a positive note, my client who was another student, said that i had a very good touch. And she could really feel me working her whole body. But i felt very little!! is this normal??????
if anyone could offer some advice i would be really grateful
Thanks
