First of all, THE JW Marriott in People's Square is a great hotel. In my experience the girl WILL NOT need to register at the hotel. However, the JW has a bit of an unusual arrangement with a "mid level" lobby. If you go up the elevator, you will need to take the first bank of elevators to the lobby, and then walk through the lobby and take the 2nd bank of elevators up to your room -- the top floor have a great view. IF you call an escort service, she WILL NOT be able to go up to your room, but instead she may be able to meet you in the mid-lobby or might prefer to meet you outside the hotel. I have heard that there are sometime talent in the hotel bar, but I don't remember ever seeing this myself. If you are a first timer to China, this is not the most convenient set-up, but I'd suggest picking up a girl at MAnhattan or Dragon Club OR contact one of the (more expensive) escort services. I THINK Charlie's Angels Massage is now closed, but I'm sure you can find one. I'm not sure of the nearby MPS... as they're not my thing

To all Shanghai mpnet bros,

Was walking on Nanjing East road which is near People's Square. FYI - if you see "KangDao Massage" this is a legit place -- absolutely no "special" services as far as I could tell.

Had a good massage there for 260 RMB/1hr, and the ML was really hot so thought there might be extras available. But alas, she did not even offer -- aren't these ML's trying to make the big bucks? Left that place with the worst case of blue balls...

Just around the corner though, there is a place called "Sunny Massage." Did not try it as it was already late, but the other ML tells me they have hanky panky there.

I am going to be in Shanghai in a few weeks staying at the JW in People's Square. I have been reading this forum but have a couple of questions:
1. Does anyone know if an escort would have to register at the front desk and/or would they require me to come down and get her?
2. Are there any good massage parlors around that hotel?
3. Does anyone have any recommendations for a first timer?
