Keeping wrinkles out of sheets

Not sure where to post this question but how do you keep wrinkles out of your sheets? Is it even possible?

I use 300-450 thread count sheets, some all cotton and some poly-blend. I fold them immediately out of the dryer--neatly but when unfolding to place on the table they are loaded with wrinkles! Am now considering ironing them but would like to know if there is an easier way.....

If your sheets have a very high cotton content, the only way to totally keep them wrinkle free is to iron them. If you purchase sheets with some poly in them it will help to reduce the wrinkles, but then you have to be careful that there isn't too much poly in them as they will slide right off the table or absorb the oils from your clients. Polyester is oil based, and attracts the oil when it is used on the client, which is why it can be difficult to get out oil stains from poly sheets. Hope this helps.........

Sorry nothing too profound to offer but I always put a comfy blanket on the table. Covers any wrinkles and the occasional stain.

I second the blanket -- I'm never without it, even in summer. Of course summers are mild here, and the blanket is v. short and lightweight in that season...my mother is making a light quilt right now for the table too. I have somewhat wrinkly sheets too but this solves the problem.

1. Flannel sheets & jersey knit sheets don't wrinkle as badly as stiff cotton sheets (and in my opinion are more comfortable for the client as well). If flannel or jersey gets wrinkles, they're also easier to smooth out on the table.

2. I second the suggestion for a blanket.

3. When you remove the sheets from the washer, shake them out before placing them in the dryer (so they don't tumble into a wrinkly ball).

4. Lastly, be sure to avoid over-drying your sheets. That's what causes the worst wrinkles. Dry them a very short time, and take them out as soon as they're done.
