Detectives executed a search warrant at King Spa in Ontelaunee Township.
Chief County Detective Michael J. Gombar said three women, all native South Koreans, have been arrested. Details on charges are not yet available.
The 59-year-old woman who managed the parlor, Kyung S. Cason, also known as "Mamasan," has an extensive criminal background in prostitution and organized crime in California and Kentucky, investigators said.
Cason has lived in the U.S. for about 10 years.
The two spa workers spoke no English and are in the country illegally, investigators said. They were identified by police as Jung Hee Kim, also known as "Cocoa," 45, and Joung Hee Park, also known as "Marie," 38.
Investigators and intepreters from the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement office are on the scene trying to determine if the women were brought into the country illegally in exchange for working as prostitutes, in which case federal human trafficking charges could be filed in the case.
