Anyone know much about Kingston?

I'm heading up there for the weekend, for some training on the during Sat and Sun. That would leave my Friday and Saturday evenings free to do....What ever....

I'm figuring Friday night, I'll just hit the weight room at the hotel and call it a night. It's Saturday night that I'd be looking to do something....Besides hit the weight room, practice guitar and read.

I'm not really into SCs, as I find them mostly boring. I don't/shouldn't drink. I'd be totally lost in the bar/club scene, and basically fail to see the point to that. Maybe a good music store, or somewhere to listen to some good live music. There's no movies I want to see, unless I'm feeling silly and want to see Megamind. Hobby, who knows

Any suggestions

For live music, you might want to check out Brandees on Ontario. Market Square has farmers and antique markets on weekends (not sure about this season), but it probably doesn't work with your schedule.

Just thought I'd do a quick check in, from my room.

Very wet drive up here, raining all the way fro
35/115 to Kingston. Otherwise an uneventful drive up here

Got to the hotel, and checked in. We were asked if we wanted rooms together. I looked at my passengers, "hell no!". So I got a room on the third floor, one passenger got his on the second...And my other passenger got an upgraded room with a whirlpool! I just looked at him, in the lobby, "you fucking suck!". I'll be talking to my rep tomorrow, the driver should get the upgraded room IMO.

Went to check out the fitness room...WTF is this? 3 treadmills, one bike, one elliptical, and a home weight station. Ok, I'm looking for a Goodlife

Found it, and couldn't find a spot any where near it to park, so screw that.

It's 8:30, and I haven't eaten since 3:30, and I hunger for sushi. Look up a place with good reviews...And they're closed when I get there.:???: So I end up 'settling' for Wild Wings. OMG, some of the best wings and fries I've had in a long time.

So back to my room. Nothing on tv. I could have 'ordered' a porn, but honestly, I get bored of most porn after 10 minutes. ('Standard' porn bores me, I'd much sooner watch a really hot sex scene, or a Peaches based lesbian porn (yes, I get turned on by foreplay, sorry...))

So here I sit alone, with the radio playing, typing this out, thinking 'do I dig deep tomorrow for a) a visit from Lola Lacosta, or b) a Dean Vindicator':grrrrrr: Yes, I'm debating which I'd enjoy more, sex or a guitar. :tongue: For those that know me, you can guess which way I'm leaning. LOL

I was going to start this morning's post with "you know I am a quality tard"...Until I saw a guy trying to kick the frost off his tail lights... But I'm still pretty dumb. I got pissed because of the station in the fitness room, and spent the night wandering Kingston. When I got to bed I realized 'you stupid arse, you could have done your full work out, you'd just have to modify it.'. I'll keep that in mind for tonight.

I'll probably skip Johnny Reid, as it doesn't look like my taste in music.

On the upside there is both a Chapters and Indigo...And what screams nerd more than hanging out in a bookstore on a Saturday night. Ok, maybe spending the night playing with funny shaped dice

Well turns out I did nothing tonight. After we got out of class, I went back to Center Stage with every intention of picking up a new guitar. Just the owner did such a fine job demoing the ones I was interested in and a couple more, I ended up walking away undue of my choices.

So I returned to the Ambassador for dinner, then slipped out around 8:30 to go to Chapters and buy a copy of Total Guitar.

I most certainly got well rested. I think I actually got nearly 8 hours each night.
