Kruvit Seafood Raft Restatuant

Will be over in 4 weeks and was reading a paper here in Perth today. One of the travel pages gives a recommendation to visit the "Kruvit Raft Seafood Restaurant at Laem Hin

Just wondered if anyone had been and how long a trip it is from Patong.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Its north of Phuket town.. Leam Hin Pier.. 15 - 20 mins at a guess..

You then take the longtail out to it.

I think it's Kru Suvit, something like that, went there once. Yeah you take a longtail boat out and there are a few floating restaurants. I went there for lunch, good value for food, cheap.

Worth the journey you get a nice breeze while dining on fresh seafood that's swimming in the tanks, prices aren't to bad either.

How much should i pay for a taxi to take me from patong to the pier?

And if i get one of thems number is it easier to call them to come get us or find one around the pier?

I went to one down there last trip its Muslim area so no beer or any thing with alcohol
i was there for lunch pretty hot time of the day there was no one there but us probably because of the heat, food is spectacular but not so cheap, well not as cheap as other places I have been on the island, you catch a long tail from leam hin you don’t pay for the long tail the restaurant dose I think the restaurant was called bang mud
any way probably the bets mud crab I have had in Thailand, well may be
the wife had the lobster, man it was the best I have had well worth the time spent
I’m told the best time is in the evening

A local told me that the people operating the floating restaurants are Muslim, except for Kru Suwit, i had beer there during lunch.
