Has anyone been to Purple Rain lately...if so anyone took a girl up by the name of Betty?

There was a time when massage parlors were getting shut down all the time. The solution was to put the girls next to a hotel--sort of like bars do. Purple Rain is such an MP.

The line-up is OK. Prices are much higher than in the bars. (The house wants $40.00 for the room and the girls get $80-$120. Sessions go a full hour.)

Be careful in this area. It's dark and filled with problems. This is one area where I fear the cops. (There are lots of drug dealers and users nearby, and you run the risk of being set up.) Although it's only a couple of blocks from the Zona, take a cab--especially at night.

Cab driver like this place as they get a higher than average comission for taking clients there. IMHO it's not worth the risk and higher prices.

I went there once. It's a little spot the cab driver pushed on me. to be honest i just walked in to take a look and had a beer. nothing special stuck me there. No girls dancing, most of them where just standing against the wal or in the corner. i took off one i finished my beer. lets just say that place made me want to drink fast

You're right, however this has changed recently. I was there last Friday night (right when you were writing your comment) and the place was full of girls.

The beer is still $1, but the hustle is just unbearable. They ask you if you're done with your beer every 30seconds and try to sell you other services constantly. Very high pressure. Waiters act like they're on crack - all strung out and hyper.

I've heard there are some new girls at La Tropa. A couple years ago they had a little talent. However, LT has never been a well stocked "fishing pond." You can usually do better at a lot of other bars.

Don't waste your time at La Tropa. Occasionally a mid-range looker there and the drinks are cheaper, but you'll spend a lot of time before you run across something worth doing.

Has anyone tried La Tropa (1 block east of AB). Is it Any Good?
