Lacrimal gland and reflexology

Hi all, I have a client for reflexology next week (weather permitting) who has dry eyes since having cataracts removed by laser about 6 months ago.I have only spoke to her on the phone as yet, now while reading Beryl Cranes the lacrimal glands would have a reflex point on later side of second toe and when I asked her to look at her second toes she said they were really swollen and red and sometimes became burning hot, on this reflex points.I know there is a meredian point running along here also.Does anyone have a different theory on where the lacrimal gland reflex is? or what treatment you would do?, thanks

I will give this some thought, but I would say the same as you and focus on the 2nd and 3rd toes (Stomach meridian channel starts from the eyes). For dry eyes I would also work the liver reflex, and the solar plexus reflex (as this chakra is related to the eyes). Got to go and get my haircut then off to work, so I will think about it. Also can you mention other health problems that your client has to develop a broader picture.

Hi RP and thanks, will have this client next week so will do a full consultation, this is the only info I got over the phone, was not aware solar plexus and eye relation here, also why work the third toe?

Hi, back from haircut, then tea time, then off to work again. From a chakra PoV the solar plexus chakra is energetically connected to the eyes, which is similar to the idea in TCM of the Liver associated with the eyes (though dry eyes may also be Yin deficiency - without further info, everything I have said is pure speculation). May also be useful to work the brow (forehead) chakra reflex as well.

As for the 2nd as well as the 3rd toe, the Stomach meridian channels into both toes. As for Beryl Crane's reflex chart the 2nd toes is the eyes and the 3rd is the ears, but I don't follow that protocol. I'm still in the mind set that toes 2 & 3 are the eyes and toes 4 & 5 are the ears. This corrolates better with TCM. According to Inge Dougans the lacrimal reflexes are the lateral tip of the 2nd toe and the medial tip of the 3rd toe.

Interesting about the solar plexus and the eyes, did not know that.Would the brow chakra be third eye?I have Inge Dougans book, must take a look.This is very interesting and much appreciated RP, will have more info next week when she comes
