lafuma chair dilemma

I have bought a marine padded Rsx lafuma recliner chair for reflexology clients , I got the chair in Ebay can anybody tell me if the levers under armrest lock the chair in place or they just change the stiffness of the movement.
I never had one and I dont want think that maby is faulty.
Any help will be very appreciated

Hiya

It seems to be a bit of a common fault in the newer versions, it should lock you in place. I would check with lafuma themselves but you may not get anywhere. The older ones just about do the job, but sadly it's something I don't think they've got right.. someone correct me if they have a fully working new version..

I bought one about 2 years ago. The locks don't stop movement completely but do lessen movement. What I find though is that even without the locks on, if the client sits with their bottom well back in the chair, it doesn't seem to come down during treatment. Try to get the client to shift their bottom back as far as possible before starting!

Thank you very much , for all your great advice and suggestion, now I am feeling much better, I still would like to Lock in position the damn chair, I was looking to buy new locking bracket, but not quite sure if that make any difference.

The other posters are quite right...Lafuma can not make it a positive lock because then people would not be abe to get out of the chair. Remember this is a delux garden chair and designed for that purpose and if it were a lock you would be stuck ;-)

But if a client is sitting in it properly, the only way they will come back up is if their ankles are heavier than their hips!!!!! So, basically it should not be a problem for reflexology treatments. We use them all the time for teaching.
