Lafuma chair - padded or batyline?

Hi everyone
I am thinking of buying one of these chairs, but not sure whether to go for padded or batyline fabric, does anyone have any experience of them and what do you think?

Hi Abbi,

Personally I feel that the battyline is more hygenic, stylish and professional than the padded. However, padded is warmer especially during a treatment. Therefore I put a blanket over the chair which people can then sit on and it gives them a bit of insulation. This blanket can then be washed for cleanliness.

I have the padded version and it is very comfortable. I have had someone tell me they felt the unpadded version was draughty and they felt quite cold. You do get toweling covers though and this would probably be better for washing etc.

I use the padded version, I've heard that the batyline fabric can stretch after time, especially after treating 'heavier' clients. I use a couple of large bath sheets to cover mine and use couch roll between clients, it's VERY comfortable, in fact it's coming on holiday with me today.

Hello!

I recently purchased an RSX.The company i bought it from told me that because the RSX is padded, it is also fireproof, but harder to clean.The batyline is a mesh stretch like material, which is also waterproof and so easier to clean.

I asked what the most popular was and they said 50/50. I went for the RSX because of the colour. The companyalso sell other reflexology furniture, are very helpful and good on price. Hi all,

I've just ordered the XL batyline lafuma, as I was finding the normal size one was squeeking with some of my longer clients.

I love the lafuma's and personally prefer the batyline as I think it looks a wee bit less like a garden chair (if you know what I mean) but then anything is an improvement on some of the older padded fabrics !!! EEEKK !!!

And as I don't tend to treat people who are on fire, i'm not so worried about the fire resistant aspect. LOL (sorry I couldn't resist ~ bad, bad joke I know)

I've been using the batylene for 4 years, just replaced the elastic cords. 18 stone hubby just been resting in it, not stretched at all.

I too always use a blanket on it as it is draughty otherwise. I think it may be alittle lighter for home visits.

Next one I get will be padded tho as I find them more supportive for the lower back.
