Leave Tip on Table?

I have seen my fair share of MPAs over the past year, but in some respects I am still learning the ropes. I noticed that some MPAs do not want me to hand them the tip, but ask that I leave it on the massage table. Any particular reason why?

There's been many studies done on old banknotes. These things have been handled so many times by people that never wash their hands. I'm not going to say what has been found on these things, in order not gross anyone out. That being said, some banknotes are dirtier than some toilet seats. When I visit a spa or an sp, I always stick my money in an envelope, put it on the table, then wash up. I want to be clean before I rub my hands all over her naked body.
