Less for more or more for less?

There was a previous thread that mentions that prices for MPs seem to be going up. I have encountered lower prices for less time. E.G. $40 for 45 minutes HJ included. This method of pricing allows the MP to receive more clients as she has 15 minutes between per hour to get out one client and to get the next one in.

tant qu'a y être le MP pourrait offrir davantage que le hj et ce pour le même prix.... arrive en ville.. il y a de la pression vers le haut, pas vers le bas .... la vie coute cher pour tous. Avec votre exemple de prix le MP vont tout simplement fermé ou se passer de votre clientèle ... ils ont le choix.

Mr.Peterman, thats a rare find ,45$ with hj included.Do you leave a tip ?Is the massage good or just acceptable ?Normally with the 45 min thing there definitively are options starting at 20$ and up.

I agree with you Oliver, on your opinion ,as usual. You are a wise man. I like the massage and the hj,and the challenge.I just like women.I always leave a tip if the the massage was good or the hj was good.No problem.

While I have called places that quoted me the $45 for 40 minutes, I have not visited them. I have several ladies that offer $45 for 1 hour of massage, but it takes them 1 hour and 30 minutes to get one client in and out per appointment. Like Oliver sais, these ladies are usualy 35 years old or older, but I do know of two exceptions of 28 and 32 years old.
I do know of one lady that is about 40 to 45 years old, she gives quite a good massage with HJ. She takes 4 to 6 appointments per day. (If you do not call early in the day you will not get an appointment with her.) She does not advertise in newspapers anymore because she is so popular. She has a 6 plex appartment building, she changes her car every 5 years. (lower price economy car but well equiped)
She does very well because she has built her popularity up,
clients will try other places but will always come back to her because she offers a good massage at a reasonable price. She saves the $50 per day on advertising. ($250/week or more *Journal de Montreal rates) So, if she did 4 massages per day, 5 days a week. She would make $900 per week or $46,800 per year. That would be equal to over $75,000 of taxable income.
I think in reality, she does a little better than this. I know that she is a painter and goes into the contryside once or twice a years to paint. I think if everyone was like her, they would do well if their expectations were not too great.

Regardles to a very nice approach reviewing the MP above, JPeterman got himself into the accounting business...auch! Do we ever question our clients how much their income is? NEVER! would any of us have this type of idea in mind! Im my opinion, one shall stay away from this kind of calculations, simly the matter of respect (if one has it) I personnaly hate it when someone is putting his nose into my wallet, you can never know what kind of expences MP has and to underline the above, should be careful not to cross the line of politeness. Would anyone like to be financialy examined in public? Retorical ?

I used this MP as an example of a woman who is not interested in making large bushels of money nor does she want to burn herself out. She is a level headed person that I can respect. She offers her clients a good service and she earns a good living out of it. She has a small appartment building that is her "nest egg", and enjoys a lifestyle that allows her to go off to do her sea scape paintings whenever she has the urge to. This is an example of woman that is confident, know what she wants, knows how to get it, and knows how to keep it.
As far as expenses are concerned, this woman has kept her expenses to the minumum. Some MPs will place one ad per day to get their clients, if a MP has a loyal clientelle she can save the advertising expense of $50 per day (Journal de Montreal rates) or $15,000 per year. (oops! there goes my accounting urges again!)
She also works out of her own appartment, so she does not have to pay for a place to do her massages.
If you say that I am sticking my nose into your business, I have done no such thing. I am just pointing out that there are MPs that are quite happy in their business and supply a good service to their clients without raising prices or charging extras.
I have also been careful not to mention to many details and have kept the identity of MP confidential. She does not need any more clients nor does she need any retribution from others in the business that do not like her low prices.
