well, after weeks of trying, i finally made an appointment to see nikki2 today. i've been hobbying for nearly two years now but today was probably my most educational. what i learned today:

1. don't take the dundas streetcar through chinatown anywhere near the lunch hour.
2. when said streetcar stops its route at bathurst, wait for the next one. don't try walking/running the rest of the way in this heat, especially when you have no idea how far away you are from the incall location.
3. don't look for a cab in that area, there are none.
4. take your cellphone and the sps/mpas number with you on all visits, even if you have to hold the phone in your hand.
5. if you're 20 minutes late, cut your losses and turn around. these ladies are running a business and most likely have already accepted another appointment.

in conclusion, i'm a big believer in signs and today most definitely was my sign to end my hobbying career in the gta. that's the hardest i've ever tried to get to an incall appointment and it still didn't work out. massageplanet.net and its massageplanet.netites have helped me immeasurably over the last two years and, for that, i thank you all.

better yet get a mountain bike with shocks, so you can hop over the pot holes and off to rub a dub dub... Don't forget your baseball cap with the mini fan attached it, it will keep you cool...

i have a car but it goes to work with the wife in st. catharines everyday. i commute via bus/train thus the need for ttc.

As Marbles says, always have the SPs/MPAs number with you. Even if you don't have your cell, you can usually find a pay phone and contact her or leave a message apologizing for the last minute cancellation.

Marbles, I share your stress and aggravation.

Yeap, many times in past summer heat stucked in 401 rush hour traffic, trying to get across town when traffic was at a stand still. Only to be jockeying the side roads and caught behind Mack trucks and slow drivers. Sweat so bad even the highest A/C didn't help.

I try to keep the MP informed of my ETA and the MP appreciated that. The things we do to keep an app't.

hey nikki ... please don't think i was trying to make you feel bad. you have a business to take care of and i fully understand that. i should have been more prepared to deal with the speedbumps i encountered. as you can imagine, i was more than a little upset with myself when i created this thread.

Nikki does that offer extend to me as well? I ran around for hours in the heat from apartment to apartment building. After almost passing out and dying of heat exhaustion I realized I didn't book an appointment or get your address. Silly me, lesson learned...
