As I was driving along Steeles avenue this morning I saw a huge billboard for utopia.com. That is just stupid. Stupid because it's so provocative. Maybe in the short term it's good for business at Utopia but in the long run it's only bringing more attention to this little hobby of ours thus making us a target for public complaint and therefore harrassment by the LE. It would be better for all of us if we were flying under the radar not right into it!

We've all got to remember that LE is a "whip" in the hands of the public.

If the public feels it's being inundated with unwanted advertisements, LE and bylaw officers will get involved ...

Like every other business enterprise (Enron, Tyco, Nortel etc etc), GREED will be the downfall of MP's ....

it's on the south side of Steeles between Airport Road and Torbam. and yes they are.

I've seen quite a few big billboard adverts for MP's. I thought the Utopia one was at Steeles and Bramalea, facing west, so you see it as you are driving towards Tobram.

I believe that on Derry, between Dixie and 427, there are a couple more. It's been a while since I saw them, but I believe they were for the "Airport Spa's".

No, the heat is not only on Utopia, but other MP's as well. The LE are not dumb .... they have enough resources to cause problems for everyone in the business.

Another one that bugs me is the Blue Lagoon/Soft Hands Spa flyers left on the windows of cars in the Scotia Bank parking lot beside CB.

I think it was summer time that Alphacare had ads on the side of garbage cans along downtown T.O.

Kodiac, what makes you think LE stopped crackdowns. Just small scale.

Every so often, entrapment in T.O.

LE go thru ads in newspaper and target the odd places. Going after MP and MPA, with tickets for massage with extra. To meet quotas and LE supervisor happy. No effect to clients. As Ottawa is reviewing the whole MP thing. Group of judges and MP to visit MPs in Vancouver, Winnpeg, T.O. and 1 other major city.

I've seen the Alpha Care signs also..even Blue Lagoon has a big board sign, or at least they used too. It is stupid because the some people don't want this places in their neighbourhoods and they may demand action. I'm sure a huge sign would only piss them of. I mean there are signs for those place everywhere but usally not huge bill boards..
