To the editor:
I agree with massage parlors trying to loosen the rules on not being able to operate on Sundays (”Massage parlors working to loosen Sunday rules,” Nov. 9). Many people work during the days and have families to take care of after work, so it would be very hard for an individual to be able to go into a massage parlor after work hours. The only alternative is that people go get their massages on the weekends.
Saturday can be a busy day for everybody, whether it is that the massage parlor is full with appointments or the person just doesn’t have time to go on Saturday because Saturdays can be an eventful day. Sundays are really the only day where the day is relaxed and not hectic but since the massage parlors are closed, you can’t go get a massage. At the end of the day, the massage parlor makes more money staying open for another day even if they would have to pay time and a half to their employees.
