I'll try to address your questions best I can.
I have two chair jobs. I got one from being at a health fair and one from word of mouth. I haven't sent any letters or packets, but my suggestions are to include in the letter something about you, benefits of chair massage, your availability, charges, ect. Send it out and then call for a follow-up and see if you can speak to someone directly. As for a packet, intro letter, brochures, ect. could be included.Does anyone have a letter that they send out to offices advertising seated massage? Someone had mentioned sending out a packet, what would be included in that?
I currently charge $25 for 20 minutes and $15 for 10 minutes. This is for any new jobs that I might pick up.I use chair massage more for marketing so I don't try to get steady jobs from doing it. But the two I have kind-of landed in my lap and they are nice and steady. Clients talk and they have done the best at getting me into businesses.IMO, $1 per minute is too low. As someone on this board suggested, $5 to get in the chair and $1 minute after that. You have to cover your costs of the chair, covers, cleaners, travel, ect.The two jobs that I have are at $1 per minute. I just raised the rates at one that I had been charging way too little ($15 for 20 mins). The other one I recently got before reviewing my charges, so I am leaving them at the $1 minute for a while. But any new jobs with be charged at the higher rate. How would you charge? Does the company pay you for your time? Or do the employees pay you (ie dollar per minute)?
Sure, as you learn as you go along.Does it get easier the more and more you do?
