Life In El Paso

Between about December 15th and February 1st, the El Paso nights occasionally get chilly. Can drop down to the 30s, 20s or teens at the coldest. We get one small snow a year normally and the snow is gone within hours. El Paso has three seasons: 6-8 months of HOT summer..3-4 months of wind..and Christmas.

Mongers, help me out: Have any of you heard what's going to happen to the 4-10 Club??

What about the clubs on Av. Juarez itself..how about the Pink Ladies..and the Hotel Rex?

If you're worried about cold weather, San Antonio would be better than either El Paso or Kerrville. El Paso usually gets some snow every winter and Kerrville got a good snow this winter that closed I-10. I like El Paso.

I hate to say but I think life in El Paso would pretty much suck. I went through there on a train about 2 years ago and it didn't impress me. First of all its in the middle of nowhere about 250 miles from the next major US city. The weather sucks, cold in winter and hot in summer. The landscape is like the moon, no trees and all you see is brown ground everywhere. I also remember seeing alot border patrol agents patroling around in there green trucks.

I was reading on the internet that unemployment and poverty in El Paso is twice the US average. And you better know how to speak Spanish because thats what most of the people there are.

It is not cold here at all any part of the year. Summer can get a little hot. That lasts about two months (June, July maby August). My favorite climate occurs in fall and spring. I would say March-July if you dont want cold at all. Kerryville's advaneforum.xxxe would be that is closer to the bigger cities than El Paso but I dont know if you care about that.

Staying for a few months is my plan, right now, I am divided between Kerrville and El Paso, possibly even San Antonio. My biggest concern with El Paso is that it is far enough away from the cost of have a cold winter, but from the climate research I did, it looks like there is only one real cold month. I am currently in Upstate NY and I am sick of it, lucky for me I am about to head back to the Philippines in a week. I have to come back to the states for medical work that the US Vet Admin Hospital in Manila can not do. So I figured I buy a house in El Paso to live in for 6 months out of the year.

When is the best stretch of 6 months for good weather in El Paso?

The best thing to do is to come visit for a week or two and decide for yourself. If I were you I may even consider renting an appartment for 6 months to a year. Some peole love it some people hate it here.

There are a lot of positive things about El Paso. It has a nice dry hot sunny climate. It has a low cost of living. It has a lower crime rate than other cities in Texas. It has access to lots of nice pussy across the river.

I am looking for a Place in the USA to buy a house, and a friend had suggested El Paso as it has a VA Hospital (which I have to live near) and it is right on a Border to where easy pussy can be found. What are the benefits of El Paso, and the Negatives. Is the access to Juarez really worth living in El Paso over other places in Texas that have a VA Hospital, like Kerrville, San Angelo, Big Spring, Waco, Temple, and San Antonio. If Juarez is not all the great, would I be better off living in Kerrville or San Antonio and just taking the greyhound to Laredo. When I need my fix.
