A Lilburn massage therapist is behind bars after allegations that he inappropriately touched an 11-year-old boy during a massage earlier this month.
Marco Marquez Hernandez, 48, used business cards to advertise his home massage business. In early June, a woman saw one of those cards and decided to make an appointment for her son who had recently strained a muscle playing sports.
โThe woman made contact with Mr. Hernandez and her son did receive a massage at his residence and the massage did alleviate the strain,โ according to a Lilburn PD press release.
But after a few weeks, that strain began to bother the boy again. So his mom brought him back to Hernandez for another massage on July 8.
โDuring the massage, Mr. Hernandez is alleged to have touched the 11-year-old boyโs private parts twice,โ according to the release. โThe boy reacted negatively to the touches and Mr. Hernandez ended the massage.โ
The boy told his mother what happened and she called the police. They arrested Hernandez.
โMr. Hernandez made several inconsistent statements to include that he did not give the boy a massage at all and he did not give massages at his residence,โ according to the release. โThese statements were quickly proven false and Mr. Hernandez was placed under arrest.โ
Hernandez was booked into Gwinnett County jail at 11:58 p.m., on July 8. Heโs being held without bond on charges of child molestation, aggravated child molestation and giving a false name or information to police.
