Most Limericks are written about sex, according to a book on the subject I once owned. The wording, the meter and number of lines has to follow strict guidelines in order truly to be called a Limerick. The following Limerick contains wording that might not be appropriate in today's climate , but nevertheless, I can't think of a substitute that will not destroy it's "intent".
