Make your TJ trip at night, not beofre the meeting in the morning. Just make sure you make it out of TJ before your meeting the next morning.

keep in mind that the trolley to the border will take 40 minutes at least, so you may want to cab it and pay the 45 or 50 bucks for the sake of time!!!once you cross into tj just do as fireballs says!

Stevelock, I think Fireballs answered you question very well. With limited time it is better to stick to Adelitas or Hongkong for a newbie, you cant go wrong. And what is true TJ experience is subjective, if you are into local Mexican flavor, there are the local type bars like Chavelas, Tropical, nearby to Adelitas. And since you are going before your business/meeting you want to return back minus any incidences so you dont have much of options

As we or rather I tell all new first timers to Tijuana.

Jump in a cab and say "Adelitas" and if that word is hard to say for you say Chicago club. It doesn't matter because they will drop you in front of Adelitas anyway. And from there if you have time you can walk to Chicago Club, and Hong Kong club in the alley around the block from Adelitas, and see all the $20 dollar SGs, and when your done take a cab back to the border. You can do it all in 2 hours, however it's better if you plan 3 or 4 hours.

i have a trip to San Diego and have a few hours to kill before my meeting. never have been to TJ mexico so my only question is with limted time on my hands where should I head first to get the true TJ experience ? and thanks for all the advice on the previous posts bery helpful.
