Is anybody else using http://www.linkedin.com for business networking? I just signed up and stayed up waaaaaay too late reconnecting with people I had lost touch with. My husband calls it "Facebook for work." Easy interface, fun and useful.

PM me if you want my profile name (although you could probably guess it), and post here when you sign up if you want to add network connections.

Yes! I have been on linkedin for some time now. I too was re-aquainted with my niece that I had lost touch with (divorce in the family) that alone made it priceless for me.

I am a LinkedIn member. It really hasn't done that much for me. I do a lot more re-connecting with people on FaceBook or MySpace.

Sorry it isn't doing much for you Brian -- I have already found it to be a helpful resource. I can't abide FB or MySpace personally, and I was looking for a "businessy" service like this. Sometimes I just do not want to know that much about a person!

I know this is an old post but I came on hear to ask who was using Linkedin and has it helped you buisness. I've got a website up and running although I'm still working on it. I've recently found out about ecadamy. I'm curious about joining these social networking sites but not comfortable with having my info all over the internet. Part of me feels I should move with the times and the other part is very resistant to all this stuff. Am I the only one that feels this way? I imagine being listed on these sites helps with google searches. I guess I need to do what I find comfortable. Sorry for the rambling.

I use Linkedin, but no it does not help me with business. It just lets my presence be known in Google.com though. LOL
