Been to Patong many times and most interested in live music.

Best stuff I have seen is during last years bike week.
At the beach and at Rock City they had a guy called "Pinoy" who could really play.

I am coming over again and of feb mach this year.

Are there any gigs worth looking at?

I also like a lot of the other thai rock/blues acts too.

not really a big name band, but the live stuff up soi dragon is always good, imho, tums bar and coyote always good fun, especially coyote.

Sounds like a plan.
There was a band at Tums last time I was there but the lead singer must've had the night off. I considered stepping in and offering my karaoke skills but thought better of it and headed off for a bit of the old ultra v S&M at SW's instead.

Hi Changone,

Rock City is now located at the top of Bangla on the corner of Rat-u.thit and Soi San Sabai.
PNoy plays every night except Thursdays.

The Margarita Bar on the corner of Rat U Thit 200 Pee Rd and Bangla is great for covers and affords you the chance to duck across the road to Rock City if you need a change. The band that played there for most of last year were a good sound and fun to watch.
